RABBANIYAH ROHINGYA SCHOOL FOR REFUGEES (MALAYSIA)
Established in 2008, the Rabbaniyah Rohingya School for Refugees (Malaysia) wants to spread our message of hope and compassion. We focus on providing a future by giving children access to education.
Our school is located in Ampang-Malaysia, and we focus on providing education to children of the Rohingya refugee community in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
OUR STORY
In 2008, our non-profit school was established with the help of Rohingya individuals and local Malaysian supporters, to serve the Rohingya refugee community residing in Kuala Lumpur.
We currently serve 80 families in Kampung Tasik Tambahan located in Ampang, Selangor.
More than 150,000 Rohingya refugees live in Malaysia. While some are registered under the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), a majority of them remain unregistered and unable to access medical and education resources or have stable careers.
Currently, refugees are not allowed to attend any public school in Malaysia under existing Malaysian law.
With a shortage of schools under the supervision of the UNHCR, the majority of refugee children are deprived of any kind of education.
Let's break this cycle. Help us build a new future.
